On May 15, 2015, Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle and Senator Tyler Harper commended and thanked the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency (GDNA) for outstanding performance of duty in serving and protecting the citizens of Georgia and for its dedication, personal sacrifice, and courage in the face of ever-present danger.

GDNA is an agency created to ensure and protect the health, safety and welfare of Georgia citizens by enforcing Georgia laws and rules pertaining to manufactured or compounded drugs and to ensure that only licensed facilities or persons dispensed or distributed pharmaceuticals. Today, GDNA is under the direction of Director Rick Allen.
